This photo, however, is not of me in design mode. It's me a few hours before I married my wife. I chose it because I know I'm happy, excited, and eager. It shows the person I am. 

But back to graphics. I specialize in book and publishing design, especially in the field of business/non-fiction although I’ve worked on plenty of fiction books, too.

My services include:

• Inline graphics (charts, graphs, etc.)

• File preparation and management

• Book marketing collateral

I’d more broadly describe my expertise as creative management; that is, the ability to carry publishing design projects from beginning to completion.

That’s why I founded G Sharp Design, LLC in September of 2019. Since then, I have operated as a creative resource for authors in need of an experienced and reliable graphic design partner.

My Background

I've been designing for almost 20 years, dating back to my days as editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper. I earned my undergraduate degree in journalism, because I was interested in understanding how to convey information and ideas through visual art.

My career began in the trenches of a leading entrepreneurial publishing house, designing books and marketing collateral for entrepreneurs the world over. Starting with the company in 2007 as a junior designer, I ascended to the role of creative director in 2018 before exiting in 2019 to found G Sharp Design, LLC. I helped that company grow with design thinking, and I aim to do the same for my clients.

When I'm not busy designing books, you'll find me gigging with one of my two bands, jogging through the streets of Charleston, South Carolina and spending quality time with my wife, Sarah; daughter, Hazel; and cat, June Carter Cat.
